THE CURRICULUM
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION is a central part of the College curriculum and all children attend Religious Education lessons. These are conducted using a multi-faith approach and follow the lines of the CORD syllabus. The cornerstones of our religion curriculum are respect for others’ beliefs and tolerance of differences.
This system allows for healthy debate, time for reflection and self examination.
The whole school community comes together for mass at various times of the year and First Friday mass is held in the school chapel. Prayer and devotions are an integral part of the school day. Every grade has an allocated retreat every year. Learners who belong to the Catholic Faith are able to attend catechism classes.
ACADEMIC CURRICULUM
The College follows the general curriculum of the Gauteng Department of Education and writes the departmental Matriculation Examinations (NSC in Grades 10 and 12 2007) and follows the Revised National Curriculum Statement from Grade R to Grade 9. As an independent
