OUR STORY
Northern Academy has a wonderful history, of which we are very proud. The school started in 1994, when there were only two Grade 1 classes, with 88 students. During October 1994 , Mr. Neuhoff, the founder, bought the premises in Suid Street and started to build Northern- Academy Primary.
January 1996 we already had Grade 1 - 6, and two months later the first principal, Mrs. V. Dickenson, was appointed. During this year there were approximately 900 students.
In 2013 Northern Academy was taken over by the NPO, Meridian Operations Company. An additional campus was completed where the Grade 10, 11 and 12 students are accommodated in 2014.
Today, 2014, the school has grown to over 4800 students, 134 classrooms and 66 hostels.
