Trinity House Preparatory Little Falls , the second Trinity House school, opened its doors in January 2012. At Little Falls Preparatory School we pride ourselves in delivering “An Education beyond expectation” in a loving, Christian environment. We believe that every child is unique and should be treated in such a manner in order to reach their full potential.
Our focus is on a holistic education where we constantly encourage pupils to be the best that they can be spiritually, physically, emotionally and mentally. We believe that we all have an impact on each other and that happy teachers make happy pupils, who make happy parents. We constantly strive to create this environment. We consider ourselves i.e. parents, pupils and staff to be a ‘Family’ at Little Falls Prep. Our pupils are encouraged to be self-confident, humble and to take responsibility.
Giving to others and being involved in our wider community, through charity drives, is important to us and our pupils are taught to ‘give back’ and reach out to those less fortunate. Our school is based on strong Christian values and these values are encouraged on a daily basis at Trinity House Little Falls Prep School.
Assessments
We are registered with the Gauteng Department of Education and follow the CAPS curriculum. As a private school we are allowed to add to the programme and have added Zulu and Bible Education. Assessments are continuous and each pupil is monitored individually to ensure personal progress. Cycle tests and examinations are introduced in Grade 4 and continue to Grade 7. Regular reports and feedback sessions form part of the assessment programme.
Extramural Activities
Extramural refers to activities, programmes, and learning experiences that complement, in some way, what students are learning in school. At Trinityhouse Little Falls, we have a beautiful Library with research facilities, two modern Computer rooms with Internet access. Our pupils develop physically and we offer a comprehensive Physical Education Programme. We have a music centre and pupils receive tuition in a number of instruments. Our Junior and Senior choirs are coached and take part in recitals on occasion.
Show Private Schools. We show private schools detail from all over South Africa because you need to find the best school for your child. We include the telephone number as well as when available the website link.
The South African Schools Act (SASA) of 1996 established a national schooling system and recognised two categories of schools: public and independent. Public schools are state controlled and independent schools are privately governed. All private schools were included into the independent school category.
